Creeping Featuritis & Creeping Elegance

Creeping Featuritis

A variant of creeping featurism, with its own spoonerism: "feeping creaturitis".

It is a disease that lets features creep in software due to designer's tendency.
The end result is that your software looks like a "Christmas Tree",
with irrelevant features hanging.

Creeping Elegance

Describes a tendency for parts of a design to become elegant
past the point of diminishing return, something which often
happens at the expense of the less interesting parts of the
design, the schedule, and other things deemed important in the
Real World.
